04/18/07 - Here are some pictures of one of my previous passports...

Here is my expired government DOD passport along with a note from my good friend John Field (who I really miss). I want to repeat that this is an expired passport...you can tell by the hole stamped on the right hand side. The sticker on the back in red (if I recall correctly) is from Saudia Arabia, or maybe it was Oman. I think that the visa stamp on the back had something to do with the middle east as well.

The top left and bottom left on page 7 are both from Germany. The middle right is from Tazar, Hungary. I think the top right is also from Hungary, but I can't read it. The bottom right is one of the many US Customs Stamps (the greatest country ever) that you will see on this page...

Okay, here is where it starts to get complicated. :)  Let's start with page 8 -The top left is from Macedonia. The top right is from Iceland.  I think that the bottom left is also from Iceland. I think that I received those in Keflavik. If there is anyone who knows for sure...please email me.  Now, let me try to remember page 9. ;)  The 2 colored stickers on the top right were entrance Visas for Turkey. The red circle stamp is the entry stamp from Istanbul, Turkey. When I have enough time to really type an interesting story for you, I will tell you about my experiences with the Turkish customs department. Okay, I digress. Back to the photo. I think that the black circle one is an exit stamp from Turkey.  (see the email link above if I am incorrect)  As for the bottom right hand stamp, I'm having a hard time reading it. Since it was from 2002 though, it would be from one of the southwest asia or middle eastern countries that I was touring during that year.

Okay, now this page scares me. ha ha  Whew, .here goes... The top left circle stamps (red and blue) and the square blue one on page 10 are all from Oman. The 2 red stamps (as are probably self explanitory) are entrance stamps back to home sweet home USA (my favorite country of all!!). Now onto page 11: The top square appears to be another stamp from Germany (I went through there quite a few times during the Balkans tours). The wierd looking oval stamps (I believe) are from the United Arab Emirates.  I can't read the skinny rectangular one, but it appears to be somewhere from the middle east. (Again, if any of you were there with me, please send me an email so that I know for sure...)

It looks like this one is going to be fun, too.  Here we go.  Page 12: The top stamp is from Greenland. The red square...yep, you guessed it...home sweet home.  Page 13: I'm not sure of the top left. Can I get some help, please?  The top right is from Germany. The middle stamp appears to be part of the entrance stamp to Qatar??  The bottom right is from London Heathrow Airport and finally, I think that the bottom left on page 13 is from Italy.

The only stamp on this page is on the left and is from Kygrystan. For those of you who are unsure of the location of this country, (I had no clue where it was until we went there) here is a link that I just found: http://www.eurasianet.org/resource/kyrgyzstan/index.shtml The link also has information on some of the other countries I have traveled to. Boy do I have some stories from some of those places... Okay, moving right along.

The top left blue one is from Kuwait. I can't remember where the bottom red one came from, but  since it has the same range of dates as the Kuwait one, it is probably from one of the middle eastern countries?? (Again, please help if you were there...)  The right hand (entire) page is from Kuwait. The big part is the visa and the circle is the entrance stamp.

Okay, I have no recollection of what country we were at, or any clue about the stamps on page 20.  Sorry. (I'm starting to feel like a broken record, but if you were there please let me know...by now you should have memorized the email address. ) I think that the entire right hand page has something to do with Saudia Arabia. However, I do not read Arabic and really don't intend to start.  ;)

Now that I have completely worn out my brain trying to remember some of these, I'm going to stop with this one. I hope you enjoyed them. :)
