And other stuff...

Below is a story about Kimberly’s visit to the USS Mount Whitney during a 2002 tour of the Middle East.  All equipment and luggage were lost by a commercial airliner on their flight to the Middle East from Nashville.  Kimberly and her band had gone 7 days without a shower when they arrived on the ship.  However, the men and women on the Mt. Whitney had been out at sea without any contact for a very long time and really needed some relief, so Kimberly and the band improvised (with the help of the crew of the Mt. Whitney) in order to put on a show. Kimberly’s drummer (Ronnie) grabbed a 5 gallon bucket, 2 serving spoons and some metal pans from the galley, one of the crew members donated an acoustic guitar and Kimberly sang through a deck mic while her keyboard player (Rick) hummed bass.  It was quite a sight.
